Four people were injured in a shooting at the Heidelberg University auditorium in southwestern Germany, SWR reported. One of the victims is said to be in critical condition.
The shooter, according to the dpa agency, was himself a university student and did not pursue any political or religious goals with his non-actions. Eyewitnesses claim that he brought several rifles into the lecture hall, after which he began to randomly shoot around, and then took his own life.
What kind of injuries the victims received is not specified. Currently, the territory of the university is cordoned off, a police helicopter is circling over the buildings.
