Four people died in an accident on the A59 motorway near Sprang-Capelle on Friday evening. They were all in the same car, according to police. Three cars and a truck were involved in the accident. A car caught fire. One of the occupants suffered minor injuries.
The accident happened around a quarter past nine. Emergency services are massively present. The police are investigating what happened and are using a sniffer dog along the highway.
The A59 is close to the Dussen exit in the direction of the Zonzeel junction. This will last until at least ten o’clock on Saturday morning. Traffic that got stuck due to the accident was able to turn around under the supervision of Rijkswaterstaat and was led away via the exit.
