Four men arrested in Polish drug trafficking investigation

A Polish investigation into international drug trafficking and money laundering has arrested four men (50, 41, and two aged 33) led in North Holland. In addition, seven homes and three business premises were searched in the municipalities of Koggenland, Stede Broec, Hollands Kroon and Hoorn, the police said.

Homes were also searched in Rotterdam. Two people have been arrested here. During the searches, thousands of euros in cash, hard and soft drugs, parts of a drug lab and cryptocurrencies were seized.

360,000 cigarettes

Pallets containing some 360,000 illegal cigarettes were found in one of the business premises. According to the police, these were for the international market and have also been seized.

The suspects are still in custody. The court will decide whether they will be extradited to Poland for prosecution. Customs has imposed an additional tax and fine for the illegal cigarettes.
