A person was found dead after a fire in an apartment in Tilburg on Wednesday afternoon. The emergency services were present en masse because of the fire that raged on the third floor. All residents of the third to sixth floors have been evacuated because the smoke cannot escape from the apartment building.
The fire on Brucknerlaan in Tilburg broke out around four o’clock this afternoon and is under control. Several fire trucks and ambulances are present. Several residents have smoke inhalation and are being helped in the ambulances.
Ventilation off
The fire brigade ventilates the apartments and checks them for CO. Residents are advised to stay indoors, close windows and doors and turn off ventilation. Once the fire department has released the house, the police will investigate inside.
