Fortuna Düsseldorf has at least temporarily taken over the lead in the 2nd Bundesliga.
With their third success in a row with 3:1 (2:1) at Hansa Rostock after goals from Christos Tzolis (17th), Andre Hoffmann (35th) and Jona Niemiec (88th), the Rhinelanders, who were still undefeated on foreign pitches, took over first rank.
Rostock, on the other hand, had to lose contact with the top teams after their second home defeat, despite Jasper van der Werff’s consolation goal (45th).
Düsseldorf took command in the early stages in front of 24,600 spectators. Thanks to their determined play and strength in duels, coach Daniel Thioune’s team took the edge off the hosts.
