Fortuna Düsseldorf has signed its first signing for the new season of the 2nd Bundesliga.
Left-back Benjamin Böckle (20) comes from the Austrian second division club FC Liefering and will receive a contract until 2025, Fortuna announced on Friday.
“With Benjamin we have signed a very talented player who still has great development potential,” said Düsseldorf’s sporting director Christian Weber. Böckle has been playing in the senior division since 2020 and also went through Austria’s junior national teams.
