Fortnite, what Pandora’s Box contains and what we can expect

It’s been an eventful weekend for Fortnite fans: a series of earthquakes has caused the gigantic burning Titan Hand to emerge from underground. But there was more than we thought: the giant hand was holding a giant chest wrapped in chains and had a health bar.

The community wasted no time in attacking the chest, damaging it in every match and gradually reducing its health. Over the next day, each of the six chains broke until, about 24 hours after he appeared, the last chain broke, the jar fell to the ground, and the lid flew off.

If you know the myth of Pandora’s box, you’ll know that opening it might not have been the best idea, because all the evils of the world trapped inside have been released, even if they’re not doing much yet.

Fortnite, Pandora’s Box: what happens? —

Right now a giant glowing orange tornado is bursting out of the box and into the sky. If you get closer, you can see some ghostly images of demonic hands swirling inside the tornado, confirming that what’s inside is up to no good. However, you can currently get close to the tornado to launch itself into the sky if you want, which is surprisingly cool.

This is just the latest step towards Chapter 5 Season 2 of Fortnite, which begins on March 8, 2024. We’ll be keeping an eye on the vase to see if it does anything before then, or if we’ll have to wait for the new season to find out what harm we unleashed upon the world.
