Formula 1 racing stable Racing Bulls loses an important employee a few days before the start of the new season. However, it remains in the family, although the focus in the future is no longer the focus.

Formula 1 team Racing Bulls has his technology chief Jody Egginton pulled. The 51-year-old moves to Red Bull on April 1, where he is taking a new way in the Red Bull Advanced Technologies technology department as Engineering Director.

Egginton came to Racing Bulls in 2014 as Head of Vehicle Performance and was appointed chief of technology in 2019. “Being part of this team for more than ten years was a fantastic experience for me, with many unforgettable moments,” said the Brit to his farewell. After 20 years in which he “only focused on Formula 1”, but now it was “time for a change”.

In the Red Bull department, technical solutions are not only developed for motorsport. The Red Bull Advanced Technologies projects include the Hypercar RB17 or the Aston Martin Valkyrie, on which you worked together with the manufacturer.

So Racing Bulls catches the departure

Jody Egginton now leaves a big gap in the racing bulls. “As our long-time technical director, Jody was instrumental in promoting innovations and promoting the growth of the team. I would like to thank him for his expertise and the important contribution, which he made for the team and upward trend of the company. We wish him all the best for this new challenge within the Red Bull family,” said team boss Laurent Mekies to say goodbye.

Egginton’s tasks for the Racing Bulls will be divided in the future: Chief Technical Officer Tim Goss as well as the deputy technical directors Guillaume Cattelani (Car Performance) and Andrea Landi (Car Design) take on his tasks.
