Formula 1 | Michael Schumacher: RTL shows documentary “SCHUMACHER” for the first time on free TV

With seven world championship titles and a total of 91 race victories, he dominated Formula 1 for many years and pushed the boundaries of motorsport: Michael Schumacher is and remains one of the greatest racing drivers of all time. As part of a major motorsport evening, RTL will be looking back on the incomparable career of the racing driver legend on November 13 at 9:15 p.m. with the free TV premiere of the documentary “SCHUMACHER”. The documentary will be broadcast after the live broadcast of the Brazilian Grand Prix in Sao Paulo.

Thanks to the support of his family and rare interviews, the documentary paints a sensitive yet critical portrait of what is considered by many to be the best Formula 1 driver in history.

The documentary sheds light on the numerous facets that make up this multifaceted person and athlete, and also accompanies him during setbacks during his rapid rise to the pinnacle of motorsport in the early 1990s.

In addition to his father Rolf and brother Ralf, Schumacher’s wife Corinna, their children Gina and Mick and his closest companions also have their say.

They tell the story of a gifted talent, passionate fighter and unconditional team player. After his Formula 1 debut for Jordan, the man from Kerpen initially led the Benetton team to the top and won his first two world championships in 1994 and 1995.

Between 1996 and 2006, in eleven years at Ferrari, Schumacher finally became a motorsport legend and won five more drivers’ titles with the traditional Italian racing team.

“SCHUMACHER” was produced by the Hamburg film production company B|14 FILM GmbH.

On RTL, the unique documentary about the German motorsport legend will be shown on free TV for the first time on November 13th. Previously, “SCHUMACHER” could only be seen on a paid streaming platform.
