Formula 1 star Valtteri Bottas presented himself with a new look in November. In addition to the “Movember” mustache, the Finn also let his mane sprout. That’s enough of that. On vacation in Australia, the Alfa driver decided on another transformation – much to the delight of his fans.
Valtteri Bottas has bad hair! The Finnish Formula 1 star posted a video on his Twitter account on Saturday, which immediately went viral and was viewed more than a million times within a few hours. In it: His transformation into a “real Australian”.
“It’s really nice to be back, but somehow I have the feeling that I don’t quite fit in here,” says Bottas at the beginning of the video, in which he sits in an Australian cafe with his girlfriend Tiffany Cromwell. When Cromwell asked what he wanted to do about it, the Finn replied: “I think I’ll change my style.”

Said and done. In a montage, Bottas can finally be seen entering a hairdressing salon. Finally, to the sounds of the Donna Summers hit “She Works Hard For The Money”, the Formula 1 driver can be given a new look.
Only at the end does it become clear that Bottas missed a mullet haircut. Sitting casually in a muscle shirt on a chair, he celebrates his transformation with a sip from a beer bottle.
At the end of the video, Bottas meets his girlfriend again. He reports proudly: “Now I feel at home.” Her dry answer: “As long as you’re happy.” Apparently he is, because now he fits here, said Bottas, while enjoying the Australian sun in his green muscle shirt and his new hairstyle.
After a surprisingly strong Formula 1 season, Bottas has every reason to enjoy his vacation these days. In his first year with his new team, the Finn scored 49 points and finished tenth in the drivers’ standings. Also and mainly thanks to him, the team ended up sixth in the constructors’ championship.
