Colleagues are currently preparing for “RTL high diving” at full speed. The celebrities around Filip Pavlović, Mathias Mester and Lola Weippert train hard for the perfect jump into the water.
Tearing your butt off – participant and ex-soccer player Thorsten Legat probably took that too literally, because he injured his testicles while training for the show.
During training, the 53-year-old suffered a testicle tear. When jumping off the 3 meter board, Legat makes a wrong landing on the water and immediately realizes that something has happened. But keep training hard. Later, a testicle swells “almost as big as a balloon,” according to the ex-professional footballer. “Now I know how hard water can be,” he says.
A urologist then finds a testicular tear, a hematoma and a bladder infection. The result: Mr. Kasalla has to take antibiotics for 12 days. The former jungle camp participant has been pain-free for 5 days, but will not be able to jump off the diving platform on Friday 3 June.
But he will be there, supporting his celebrity colleagues and answering questions about his training accident. Who will take his place will be announced in good time.
