Former Telstar player Ron de Roode passed away at the age of 57 after a short illness. The attacker with the characteristic blond mat played for the White Lions from 1990 to 1995.
Ron de Roode can provide very nice statistics during his period at Telstar. The former winger has scored 41 goals in 98 matches. In addition to Telstar, he also played for FC Den Haag and Willem II. After his career he trained a number of amateur clubs.
