Dutch footballer Tahith Chong was once loaned out by Werder Bremen. He now plays for Birmingham City in England. And finally had to experience bad things.
Soccer professional Tahith Chong was brutally attacked and robbed by three criminals in mid-January 2022. This is reported by the British newspaper “Sun”. And the name Chong should still be familiar to some football fans in Germany. The Dutchman, who is now 22, played for SV Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga between August 2020 and January 2021. He was then on loan from Manchester United.
Back to the robbery: According to the report, three people broke into the footballer’s apartment in Manchester during the night. They are said to have woken him up and held a knife to his throat to threaten him. They are also said to have made fun of how poorly protected the athlete’s apartment was from burglaries.
They then reportedly pocketed the Birmingham City player’s jewellery, watch and designer handbag and disappeared.
What remained was a shocked young man, who is now playing in the second English division.
