Former Tommy Hilfiger CEO and CFO join as shareholders

The Dutch trousers brand Mr. Marvis has attracted two well-known names from the fashion world as investors. Fred Gehring and Ludo Onnink, previously CEO and CFO of Tommy Hilfiger respectively, will become minority shareholders of the brand.

After working for Tommy Hilfiger, Gehring and Onnink have also been involved in brands such as Denham, Karl Lagerfeld, Vingino and Otrium. “Your participation will bring valuable knowledge, industry insight, experience and a strong network,” said a statement on Tuesday.

Mr. Marvis is a men’s direct-to-consumer brand focused on the development of shorts and trousers. The label operates across Europe and has flagship stores in Amsterdam and Antwerp. Mr Marvis also secured a significant investment from Dutch private equity fund Capital A in August. Three months later, the company was voted Vedis New Retail Champion of the Year.
