Former Speaker of the House Khadija Arib leaves the House of Representatives. She does this because of the “(anonymous) stab thrusts of the last few days”, she reports in a statement she posted on Twitter.
“I am willing to endure a lot, but every person has his limit. This concerns attacks on my dignity,” said the PvdA member of parliament.
Earlier this week, the executive board of the House decided to investigate possible cross-border behavior by Arib when she was Speaker of the House. This was based on anonymous letters that had come in about it.
