Former ships Christophe Verdonck (50) scammed by his own cousin: “100,000 euros borrowed for Gouddeal in Africa, now he wants to send the police to me”

What started as an adventurous stopover at his cousin in Dubai, ended in a nightmare before Christophe Verdonck (50), former ships of the municipality of Mol. He borrowed his cousin Tom V. (54) no less than 100,000 euros for an exotic sounding gold deal. A year and a half later there is no money, no contact and threats. “It may sound like a stupid choice,” says Christophe frankly. “But this is about family, there was a contract. All the trimmings.”
