Esbjerg (dpa) – The former Bundesliga professional Rafael van der Vaart is interim coach at the Danish second division soccer team Esbjerg fB. The club announced this after the German coach Roland Vrabec had been put on leave.
Van der Vaart will take over his duties along with the other previous assistant coach, Michael Kryger, until the club has found a successor for Vrabec. Former HSV professional van der Vaart lives in Denmark because his partner Estavana Polman is a professional handball player there. Esbjerg only has a theoretical chance of reaching the promotion round of the second division.
