Former professional footballer Mark-Jan Fledderus (41) has immediately left Eredivisie CV

FOOTBALL – Former football player Mark-Jan Fledderus from Coevorden is leaving immediately as technical manager of the Eredivisie CV. Fledderus signed his contract in June last year.

The Eredivisie CV represents the interests of all eighteen Eredivisie clubs. As a technical man, Fledderus was responsible, among other things, for the competition structure, the matchday calendar and the playing surfaces of the stadiums.

Director Jan de Jong has no grudge against the Coevorden resident. “There was a recent evaluation moment. We had also agreed on this with each other. We determined that, despite the pleasant cooperation, we will not continue with each other,” he explains.

“We thank Mark-Jan for his efforts and input. He is a nice guy who fitted in well with the team, but he is now going to try his luck elsewhere,” said the director.

As a footballer in the Netherlands, Fledderus played for Heracles Almelo, Roda JC and FC Groningen, among others. He was dismissed as technical manager at the latter club in February last year. In January he stopped as an amateur football player after he punched an opponent in his debut match for vv HSC in Sappemeer.
