Former player Andrea Petković becomes an expert at Sky

In 2022, Andrea Petković ended her active tennis career. In the future, she will be part of the broadcasts again as an expert on Sky.

Former top ten player Andrea Petković will comment on matches on Sky as a tennis expert in the future. The 36-year-old from Darmstadt will be in action regularly, alternating with ex-professional Patrik Kühnen, the pay-TV broadcaster announced.

Petković has promised eight to ten tournaments this season. Her first Sky appearance is planned for the clay court Masters tournament in Monte-Carlo in April. Petković ended her career at the US Open 2022 and works in various roles, including as a writer, television presenter and mentor in the German Tennis Association for Talents. The group of commentators on Sky also includes former professionals Philipp Kohlschreiber and Mischa Zverev.

The pay provider had already announced at the end of last year that it had acquired media rights for the WTA women’s tournaments. Sky also extended its contract with the ATP men’s tour. The broadcaster, however, lost the rights for Wimbledon. Starting this year, the most famous tennis tournament in the world will be broadcast on Internet TV in Germany by Prime Video.
