Former party chairman Wakker Emmen becomes alderman in Overijssel

Former party chairman of Wakker Emmen and former Member of Parliament Aimee van der Ham will be one of the aldermen in the new municipal council of Twenterand.

Van der Ham started her political career in Drenthe as a councilor of Municipal Interests in the municipality of Borger-Odoorn. She resigned from this position in 2015 because of a ‘beginning relationship’ with the municipal secretary of Borger-Odoorn. Later Van der Ham was active as a Member of Parliament for Sterk Lokaal and she was appointed as party leader of Wakker Emmen.

Van der Ham says on Twitter that he is ‘very excited’ to get started. In the new council she will become alderman for Municipal Interests Twenterand. The party takes place together with the ChristenUnie in the new council of the Overijssel municipality.
