Former news reader Femke Wolthuis stops as councilor after a few months

She entered politics to make residents more involved in local decision-making, but after less than 5 months Femke Wolthuis stops at Lijst Groen Noordenveld as a councilor. The former newsreader of the morning news on RTL 4 cannot combine her work with council membership.

Opposite RTV Zulthe says party chairman Henk Koekkoek that Wolthuis had previously estimated the work in the council slightly differently. De Norger will, however, remain active as a support group member of the List Groen Noordenveld. Albert Nieuwenhuis, who also lives in Norg, will take over from Wolthuis on the council.

Since the elections of March 16, LGN has been the only party in Noordenveld to lose two councilors. Shortly after the elections, Christine Stille was put on hold, after which she founded her own party (Lokaal Noordenveld).

There is also good news for the largest opposition party in the municipality of Noordenveld: the experienced councilor Tineke Nieboer will make her comeback after the summer recess, after she was absent for a while for private reasons.
