Remley was handcuffed during an undercover police operation in August last year. In a Starbucks in the Californian coastal town of Solana Beach, she – without realizing it – told an undercover police officer that she wanted her husband dead.

Initially, she had asked a mutual friend of the couple to kill her husband. She had offered the guy 2 million dollars (1.8 million euros) for it. Instead, she told everything to her husband, who informed the police.

The same friend had worked for the couple when they tried to put on a major horse show in 2013 in the Californian city of San Diego. The man also had a sexual relationship with Tatyana Remley, according to a source from the American newspaper ‘New York Post’.

The horse show was a complete failure and closed after just a few performances. The acrobats and other staff were not paid and Mark Remley filed for bankruptcy.

Tatyana filed for divorce in July last year after a tumultuous marriage that lasted twelve years. She claimed her husband put a gun to her head and chased her with a knife.

Mark denied the accusations and in turn claimed that his wife set fire to one of his houses. However, three weeks after she filed for divorce, Tatyana was arrested by the undercover police officer. She was charged with solicitation to commit murder, carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle and carrying a loaded firearm in a public place.

Later in court she pleaded guilty. She was sentenced to three years and eight months in prison, but could be released early in June next year.
