The Austrian clothing supplier Wolford AG has filled a key position. On Wednesday, the company announced the appointment of Valentina Rainone as chief financial officer. The 44-year-old took over the post on December 1 and will “perform all the duties of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) without being a direct member of the Executive Board,” explained Wolford.
According to her new employer, Rainone was most recently Global CFO at Italian fashion house Marni. Before that, Wolford said she held various management positions in the finance departments of “international luxury fashion, retail and sports brands” such as Nike, Fendi and Ermanno Scervino.
The company continues to rely on a Management Board duo made up of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Silvia Azzali and Chief Operation Officer (COO) Paul Kotrba. However, Kotrba is only active in this function on an interim basis. His mandate has now been extended until June 30 next year, Wolford announced on Tuesday. However, it has been clear since the end of November that Ralf Polito will take over the position of COO on July 1, 2023.
