Former England goalkeeper Hart quits

Former England goalkeeper Joe Hart is quitting football after the current season.

His club Celtic Glasgow announced this on Thursday. Hart was in goal for the Three Lions 75 times (2008 to 2017), and the 36-year-old won two championship titles with Manchester City (2012, 2014).

“I think now is the right time. I don’t want my body to shut me down,” Hart said on Celtic TV. The keeper played 348 games for Man City and has been playing for the current Scottish champions from Glasgow since 2021.

Hart has since won five titles with Celtic.
