Former darts player Shaun ‘Nine Dart Man’ Greatbatch passed away | Darts

That’s why his nickname was Nine Dart Man. In the final of the Dutch Open 2002 against Steve Coote he threw the perfect leg. At the 2006 World Championships at the BDO, he faced Jelle Klaasen in the semi-finals. The Dutchman eventually won that tournament.

It is not known what caused Greatbatch to die. He was diagnosed with bone marrow cancer in 2008, but after a stem cell transplant, he recovered. Barely a month ago, Greatbatch lost his mother Sandra. She has also darted at a high level in the past.
