Football coach Sandro Schwarz has found a new job in the USA. The 45-year-old will be the new coach of New York Red Bulls in Major League Soccer, the club announced.
Schwarz was relieved of his duties at the then Bundesliga club Hertha BSC last April. Before that, he also coached 1. FSV Mainz 05 and the Russian club Dynamo Moscow.
“Sandro is a great leader who fits our culture and his experience as a head coach in Europe fits what we want to achieve,” said German sports director Jochen Schneider of New York Red Bulls, the sister club of Bundesliga club RB Leipzig.
He was “very motivated to achieve many great things with this club,” said Schwarz, “and I’m looking forward to tackling the coming season.”
