Al-Shabab FC from Saudi Arabia has found a successor for coach Igor Biscan, who was fired at the end of December. According to the Riyadh club, Vítor Pereira will take over until the end of the season. José Mourinho, a compatriot of the 55-year-old Portuguese, had previously been traded to Al-Shabab.
The club, which signed Ivan Rakitic (35) shortly before the transfer deadline, is in eleventh place in the Saudi Pro League table. In addition to the Croatian, Pereira also has ex-Atlético professional Yannick Carrasco (30) and former Strasbourg striker Habib Diallo (28) at his disposal. For the former coach of 1860 Munich, it is the second stop in Saudi Arabia after Al-Ahli in the 2013/14 season. Pereira most recently worked at Flamengo Rio de Janeiro until April 2023.
