Forest ranger: most animals survive a fire

She doesn’t worry too much about the animals. “Most smaller animals, such as snakes and lizards, will also survive. They flee the area or crawl into the peat moss or the ground to escape the flames,” explains the ranger on Radio 1. “But it is also plausible that part of it did not survive.”
