NEW YORK (dpa-AFX) – The euro passed the $1.08 mark again in late US currency trading on Thursday. Most recently, the common currency was quoted at $1.0802, higher than in the late European currency business. The European Central Bank had previously set the reference rate at 1.0771 (Wednesday: 1.0778) dollars. The dollar therefore cost 0.9284 (0.9278) euros.
