A 31-year-old man was arrested in a shop on Molenstraat in Roosendaal on Wednesday. The man sold electronics products from Apple and JBL in his store. It would be fake items. A large stock of fake branded items was found in a warehouse at De Wetering in Oosterhout. The police estimate the total sales value of the items at several hundred thousand. Police do not know where the arrested man lives.
The police traced the trader after a tip from a lawyer about one of the branded products. All fake items have been confiscated.
Thousands of fake items were also found in the warehouse in Oosterhout. Including almost seven hundred music earplugs, more than five hundred controllers for a game console and more than eight hundred bottles of perfume. The products were in packaging that resembled that of the real products.
The producer of one of the branded articles filed a complaint.
