For those who have been vaccinated and those who have recovered, a corona test will not be mandatory when visiting a hairdresser in Berlin. The Senate Department for Health specified its information on the new rules on Thursday.
Service providers in the field of personal care, which include hair salons and cosmetic studios, can choose between a mask and a test if wearing a mask is possible, as the health administration announced.
This applies to cutting hair, for example. “If the choice falls on the test, those who have been boosted and similar cases, i.e. those who have just been vaccinated or have recently recovered, will be exempt from this test obligation in the future.”
According to the health administration, the new regulation with the simplifications for those who have been boosted and those who have just been vaccinated and recovered will apply from Saturday.
On Tuesday, the administration initially did not point out that there is no obligation to test if it is possible to wear a mask. This caused irritation and annoyance among numerous hairdressers and also in the Berlin hairdressers’ guild.
