Nightlife troops told Iltalehti how the party changed in just a few years. Now it’s the turn of the readers.
According to readers of Iltalehti, there is one culprit for nightlife above others: too expensive prices. Levi Vepsä
If Iltalehti’s readers are to believe, the biggest problem with nightlife is nowadays harsh money.
– I think the biggest problem is spending money. It is easy to get 200-500 euros per evening when you go out. When thinking about what else you can get with that money with such a damp evening in Helsinki and the next 1-3 days in the hangover doesn’t really attract … In the past, it was 1-2 times a month, but nowadays once a year, commented one reader in Iltalehti’s survey.
– Yes, that party and bars have been left behind by myself and from many of my friends just because it is so expensive, another reader continues.
More readers who responded to the survey agree.
– Things are pretty much like Wallu said there. Fortunately, I was able to live my youth when social life was still outside the world, writes a reader referring to Wallu Valpion the view of the change in nightlife.
Valpio, who has organized events for 30 years, presented his gloomy assessment of the causes and consequences of nightlife changes in Iltalehti’s story.
– I’m sad about this, Valpio comments on the changes.
Also CEO of Night People Group and nightlife upheavals for years following Antti Raunio told a striking change in nightlife in the story.
According to Valpio, Helsinki’s nightlife is now dead.
