Against decimated South Koreans
With a clear 3-0 victory over South Korea, Japan was crowned champion of the U17 Asian Cup for the fourth time after 1994, 2006 and 2018. After South Korea was outnumbered in the 44th minute by a yellow-red card for Jong-hyun Ko (17), top scorer Gaku Nawata (16) gave the record champions the lead with a brace. Yutaka Michiwaki made it 3-0 in added time.
