For the coming season: VfB Lübeck signs Tarik Gözüsirin

Comes from Lichtenberg 47

With Tarik Gözüsirin, VfB Lübeck have presented their first new signing for the coming season. The 20-year-old is currently under contract with SV Lichtenberg 47, where he has scored ten goals in 26 games in the Regionalliga Nordost this season. The midfielder, who trained at Hertha BSC, has now signed a working paper at Lohmühle until June 30, 2024.

“I am happy that Tarik is coming to us. I already knew him as a youth at Hertha BSC. One of the requirements we set when we were looking for reinforcements was to sign a player who is dangerous in front of goal, good in terms of play and speed for our central midfield. Tarik fits this profile perfectly. He has developed very well this season in Lichtenberg. We assume that he can take another step forward with us and that we can target the 3rd division together. We would like to thank those responsible in Lichtenberg, who saw things in a similar way and supported the change in a friendly manner,” said VfB sporting director Sebastian Harms.

Tarik Gözüsirin said: “I’m really looking forward to VfB Lübeck, Lohmühle and games in front of a lot of fans. The club tried to get me from an early stage, I liked that. What the club is planning here appealed to me from the start. I would like to play in the 3rd league, that also applies to VfB – in that respect our ambitions go well together. I look forward to something new. On my first visits, I saw that Lübeck is a beautiful city.”
