It didn’t get to checkout: a security guard pulled him out of line because this wasn’t the first time “they” had seen him steal, he said, with support from other store employees. Bediako (23) was detained for an hour and a half. Unjustified, as it turned out. But instead of an apology, he got a shopping ban.
