The jeweler still suffers from the wrestling party two days later and must first get a paracetamol for the conversation with NH. For understandable reasons, he would rather not, but he wants to tell his story.
A knife, an ax and a bag
It is 10.15 am on Saturday morning, if suddenly three boys are in a jewelry store. “One with a knife, one with an ax and one with a bag to grab everything,” says jeweler Christian van Zijp. “It went fast. The guy with the knife immediately approached me and said I didn’t have to move.”
While the windows of his business are smashed and jewelry disappear into a bag, the jeweler thinks of one thing: the alarm button. “So I dived back,” he continues. The robber with the knife runs after him, but will be faced with an unpleasant surprise. “There is our watchdog. He was shocked for a moment, so I was able to press the alarm button nicely.”
“He ran away and took one of his friends with them. They abandoned number three.” With a smile he repeats it: “Shameless, they let him down like that. They didn’t even cried him. He was still grabbing.”
In the report below, eyewitness Coby tells what she saw. Text continues under the video.
