For example, a packed stadium sang to Guus Meeuwis during the penultimate Groots

It was another big party in the Philips Stadium this weekend. There Guus Meeuwis was on stage for the penultimate time with his Groots with a soft G concert series. The audience was treated to several guest artists and went wild as usual. Guus himself hardly had to sing during the song ‘Het is een Nacht’: the whole stadium reverberated.

The three concerts were almost completely sold out. The shows were opened playfully with a video message from King Willem-Alexander and Máxima, made by Lucky TV. After that, almost 35,000 visitors sang along with songs such as Per Spoor, Tranen Gelachen and Brabant.

A dream came true for Vughtenaar Flemming. He was the support act and warmed up the audience. During the song ‘May I dance’ later in the evening he came on stage again. Together with Guus he sang a mix of that song with his own ‘Automatic’.

In addition, there were guest appearances by Acda en de Munnik and DJ La Fuente. When the latter came on stage from the audience, the party really started. Guus also sang a song that his witnesses, including comedian Leo Alkemade and rapper Diggy Dex, sang at his wedding.
