Footballer Ferdi Kadioglu has closed his debut for the Turkish national team with a big win. Turkey beat Faroe Islands 4-0 in the Nations League C.
Kadioglu, born Arnhemmer, played in the representative youth teams for the Orange squad and last year participated with the Young Orange in the European Championship, where he had a basic place in the semi-final against Germany.
The 22-year-old midfielder from Fenerbahçe announced at the beginning of this year that he wanted to play for Turkey from now on. The former NEC player was selected by national coach Stefan Kuntz for this series of international matches at the end of May.
In Turkey’s first game in the Nations League, Kadioglu started right from the start and played the entire game. Dutch-born striker Halil Dervisoglu also played and made it 2-0. He was substituted in the second half. Feyenoord player Orkun Kökçü remained on the bench. Turkey’s other goals were scored by Cengiz Ünder, Serdar Dursun and Merih Demiral.
