Football world says goodbye to Miguel Van Damme
All streets in the vicinity of the Sint-Blasiuskerk are closed today so that family, friends, acquaintances and supporters can say goodbye to Miguel Van Damme in peace. The city asks all visitors to park at the Leisure Center (VTC) in Vlamingveld 40, about a hundred meters from the church.
The funeral started at 10:30 am. Many well-known figures from the football world, like many supporters of Cercle Brugge, are present for the funeral service Jabbeke. All football teams of the highest class delegated someone. Vincent Mannaert of Club Brugge, Peter Verbeke of Anderlecht and Kristof D’haene of KV Kortrijk are already present.
