Wolves make everything clear in the first half
Wolfsburg controlled the game from the start and pushed the Cologne team in behind, but the first attacks lacked precision. That changed in the 21st minute: Tabea Waßmuth put the ball back from the baseline into the middle, where Sveindís Jónsdóttir, who was completely free, pushed in from five meters to make it 1-0.
Eunice Beckmann (28th) had the first chance for Cologne, who shot just wide of the left from 15 meters. The 2-0 for Wolfsburg came from a corner: A low cross from Felicitas Rauch landed at the far post at Jónsdóttir (32nd), who only had to push the ball over the line. Just five minutes later, VfL made it 3-0 when Wassmuth (37′) hit the top left corner.
Beckmann scores for Cologne
After the break, Wolfsburg took things a little easier, there was little to see from Cologne on the offensive. Cologne goalkeeper Manon Klett did not look good when Waßmuth (63rd) made it 4-0 for the Wolves, who shot from ten meters.
Cologne scored the consolation goal through Beckmann (69th), who headed in after a cross from Gudorf from five meters. However, Wolfsburg’s Jill Roord scored the final point in injury time to make it 5-1.
