League leaders SSC Napoli have lost a game in Serie A for the first time in two months.
Napoli lost 0-1 (0-0) against Lazio on Friday (03/03/2023). It was the first point lost in the league since the 1-0 loss at Inter Milan on January 4 – Napoli had won the following eight games. Matias Vecino scored to win for Lazio (67th).
Nevertheless, the leader is clearly on course for the title: Napoli have won 21 of their 25 games, plus two draws and two defeats. Inter Milan, second in the table, could close the gap to 14 points with a win against US Lecce on Sunday (6pm CET). Napoli has been waiting for its third Scudetto for 33 years.
Napoli have a 2-0 lead over Frankfurt in the Champions League
In the Champions League, Napoli are currently opponents of Eintracht Frankfurt. In the first leg in Frankfurt, Naples presented a 2-0 win. Eintracht faces a difficult task in the second leg on March 15 in Italy.
