English footballer Isaac of the pen got a ten-year ban for manipulating the betting market.

The 29-year-old defender played in the Southern League, which is the seventh and eighth highest division in England. Isaac, who represents Stratford Town, is said to have deliberately picked up a yellow card for a tackle against Shrewsbury in November last year.

A report by the FA’s disciplinary panel states that individuals had placed bets that Isaac would receive a booking in the game.

During the hearing, the player did not provide the authorities with his phone bills and information about his internet service. Isaac is suspected of manipulating 347 bets while playing for different teams between 2016 and 2021.

Isaac pleaded his innocence via email, but this was rejected by the FA as he had not provided any evidence to support his innocence.

Since the football association did not receive phone or online information from Isaac, the originally imposed one-year suspension was changed tenfold.
