After four days of summer feeling – but also intensive training – in the south of Spain with partners and children as well as a weekend off, the players are once again asked to perform at their best. “Team building is always such a big word for me”, said Thomas Müller at the end of the preparation camp in Marbella: “We all get along really well at the pool. It’s not difficult either. It’s important that things work on the pitch. Then we’re all happy.”
As during the 2021 European Championship, the DFB entourage will be staying in Franconia until the away game in Hungary on June 11th. In Herzogenaurach, the team should continue to grow together into a sworn tournament team, but at the same time the competition should really flare up on the training ground.

Flick sees his 26-man squad well filled in all positions. Now it’s about importing a first eleven and fine-tuning. In Spain, Flick still lacked precision in a number of actions: “Some of the last passes don’t arrive. We’re robbing ourselves of the wages.”
The players have to adapt from the respective club to the DFB style of play. “Everyone already has a plan for how we want to play football. It’s about getting the vote right.”said tournament-experienced attacker Müller: “It’s always like that with the national team: a lot of very good individual players, but they don’t play together that often.”
