Football disaster in El Salvador! 12 dead – Breaking Football news

A major disaster occurred in the match between Alianza and FAS in the quarter-finals of the El Salvador Football League play-offs. According to the news in Hürriyet, in the rematch of the quarter-finals won by FAS 1-0, there was an intense stampede in the stands during the match played at the Cuscatlan Stadium hosted by Alianza.

According to the first determinations, 12 people lost their lives in the stampede that took place after more spectators were taken to the stadium and the doors were not opened for security reasons. Hundreds of people, including children and women, were injured. The first aid was given to the injured in the field, then they were taken to the surrounding hospitals. In the statement made by the Ministry of Interior, it was stated that the death toll could increase.

A comprehensive investigation was launched after the disaster. According to the first determinations, it was announced that the crowd in the stands was caused by the fact that many fans entered the stands with fake tickets, and the fans who could not enter the match despite having tickets, went through the stadium turnstiles and threw themselves inside.
