After a quarter of an hour, however, the guests turned up the heat. Angeliño got too much space on the left wing, Silva headed in his precise cross against the direction of keeper Andreas Linde to make it 1-1 (17th).

Nkunku could have increased to 2: 1 for RB shortly afterwards, but Forsberg did it from almost 25 meters. Linde was able to reach his firecracker with one hand, but had too little tension to prevent the impact.
The 3:1 two minutes later was perhaps the best counterattack of the entire season. After a free-kick from Fürth and Leweling then lost the ball, the guests used four rapid attacks with one contact, and in the end Nkunku put the ball perfectly into Laimer’s run, who overcame Linde with a lob.

At this point, the Fürth goalkeeper had let all three shots pass on his goal – and it got even worse. Just before the break, Angeliño was allowed to cross again unhindered and found Henrichs rushing towards the far post: fourth shot on goal, fourth goal, so Linde didn’t save a single ball in 45 minutes.
In the second round, the Fürth found a little more compactness and also closed the outer lanes more consistently. In the 58th minute, Forsberg found the head of defender Simankan with his half-court cross, which the Fürth team somehow didn’t have in mind so far ahead – 1:5.

Forsberg obviously wanted to prove to his coach Domenico Tedesco that evening that he deserves more consideration in the Leipzig starting eleven. Nkunku got his pass through the fairly wide interface of the Fürther chain, Linde was beaten for the sixth time (69th).
Fürth can now show in the home game against Freiburg on Saturday (March 19, 2022) what a learning effect the Leipzig debacle brought. One day later, the Rasenballer have Frankfurt as guests.
