In a crazy Upper Bavaria derby, TSV 1860 Munich loses against FC Ingolstadt and is in crisis with four defeats in a row. Despite taking the lead after a free kick trick, the Lions lost to the Schanzer 1:2 (1:0) and fell deep into the bottom of the table. After Julian Guttau’s lead (23rd), the FCI benefited from a tough defense and hit back through Jannik Mause (58th) and David Kopacz (77th). With the second three, Ingolstadt frees itself from the threatening zone.
Free kick trick takes Ingolstadt by surprise
Despite their recent failures, the Lions came into the game with momentum. In the fifth minute, Manfred Starke tested Ingolstadt’s goalkeeper Marius Funk. On the other hand, the hosts had a great opportunity: Mause was served exemplary by Costly, but the attacker shot the ball over the box in front of Hiller.

Triple substitution and Rieder faux pas bring FCI back
During the half-time break, former Lions coach Michael Köllner made three changes to the Ingolstadt team. His team came back into the game from nowhere thanks to a hair-raising mistake from Munich’s Tim Rieder. The defender served his failed back pass to Mause, who played past keeper Hiller and slotted it into the empty goal.
An open exchange of blows developed, both teams played for victory, but Ingolstadt appeared more grippy and determined in front of the goal in the final phase. Korpacz scored from a corner, and Testroet and Keidel could also have scored for FCI.
