The game is balanced in the second half of the game, both teams have their share of the game and usually look for a quick way forward when they have possession of the ball.

Bördner deflects a shot from Traoré on the other side, and shortly afterwards the men in front are able to rectify the situation.

It’s getting dangerous again in the VfL penalty area, but Handle’s pass from the right in the penalty area doesn’t arrive.
56
20:15
The second half, like the beginning of the first half of the game, offers many chances to score.
53
20:12
The people of Cologne reply almost immediately! Hong asserts himself on the right flank in the VfL half and then has a lot of space. The Viktoria player runs with the ball at his foot in the direction of the right corner of the five-yard box and puts it down in the middle just before it. VfL can clarify there in dire need!

Tooor for VfL Osnabrück, 1: 1 by Sven Koehler
The Lower Saxony compensate! Klaas keeps the ball well in play in the Viktoria penalty area with a header on Opoku from just before the baseline. Opoku then pulls the ball to the far post where Koehler is positioned and sends the ball over the goal line from seven yards! Bördner is still on the ball, but can no longer prevent the equalizer!
49
20:07
Post! Philipp starts with the ball in his own half and plays two VfL players on the way to the away penalty area. Shortly before the sixteen meter area, the offensive man closes with his left and puts the game device on the left goalpost with a flick!
47
20:05
Opoku is found from a wide pass to the left of the Cologne penalty area, but then gets stuck with his pass to the Viktoria defense, which is unable to find a teammate.

Mid-term conclusion:
At half-time, Viktoria Köln leads 1-0 at home against VfL Osnabrück. The guests had the first dangerous offensive scenes, Simakala missed the early VfL lead after a long pass in front of Bördner (6th). Two minutes later, the guest goal was under pressure after Cologne countered strongly and Hong put the ball just over the box (8th). The game calmed down a bit afterwards, the hosts gained dominance. Philipp rewarded the efforts of the Rhinelanders and scored with a directly converted free kick to give the home side a 1-0 lead (30′). VfL then tried to put more offensive accents again, but mostly found their teeth out with a very compact defense of the home side. Shortly before the half-time whistle, however, Klaas came to the end free-standing and put the ball just past the goal from 18 meters to the right. The guests will probably have to develop more offensive solutions in the second half if they want to take something countable with them.

19:48
VfL almost equalized shortly before the half-time whistle! Shortly after the end of regular playing time in the first half, Klaas is able to pull away from a central position from 18 meters without any pressure and puts the ball just wide of the goal to the right!
44
19:47
A corner from Osnabrück is hit on the first post, where Heider extends heavily. At the second post, Cologne can clarify the tricky situation a few meters in front of their own goal.
42
19:44
The hosts are very compact against the ball and hardly allow the table sixth to develop.
39
19:41
Lower Saxony are trying to put more emphasis on the offensive. It’s been a few minutes since the guests last had a good chance to score.
36
19:39
There wasn’t much missing! A good cross from the right finds the first post Hong, who doesn’t hit the ball perfectly from eight meters away from the goal and so misses the short corner!
33
19:38
Opoku receives the ball with a wide pass behind the defence, but then takes a little too long and is caught by Cologne, who are able to block Opoku’s subsequent shot from 18 meters.
33
19:35
The 1-0 lead of the hosts is okay, who have had a slight field advantage so far.

19:32
Tooor for Viktoria Cologne, 1:0 by David Philipp
Victoria takes the lead! Risse and Phillip are on the ball, Philipp kicks the standard and circles the play equipment with his left foot over the wall and into the right corner of the goal!
30
19:32
The hosts now have a good free-kick position 20 yards from goal in a half-right position…
28
19:31
VfL now manages to keep the game a little more away from their own goal. Both teams neutralize each other in midfield.
25
19:28
In this phase, the Victoria gains dominance. In the last third, however, the Rhinelanders are still lacking in accuracy in their offensive presentations to create scoring chances.
22
19:24
VfL can clear a cross from Risse’s right with a header in their own penalty area. A little later cracks come back to flank – the Lower Saxony block the ball to the corner. This brings nothing for the people of Cologne.
19
19:21
Both teams alternate relatively evenly with their ball possession phases. In the last few minutes, the people of Cologne set the tone.
16
19:20
Hong forces VfL goalkeeper Kühn to make a brilliant save with a header, but the referee team decides it is offside anyway after the action.
15
19:18
Lower Saxony hit a corner ball from the left close to the goal – Bördner fists the ball out of the danger zone.
13
19:16
The initial phase is very varied, both teams already had a good chance of an early goal.
10
19:14
Ulrich Taffertshofer saves from 20 meters from a central position – Elias Bördner in the goal of Cologne saves the unplaced goal safely.
8th
19:13
Now Viktoria has a good chance of taking the lead early on! The people on the right bank of the Rhine counterattack very well via Risse and Sontheimer, who ends up serving Hong, who is on his left, just before the edge of the penalty area. Hong looks for the long corner with a flick and puts the ball just over the box!
6
19:10
Simakala! VfL switched quickly in their own half, Simakala was staged with a long ball behind Cologne’s advanced defensive line. The striker runs alone to Bördner and puts the ball, which is not easy to take, a bit over the goal!
4
19:07
The hosts are also looking for the way forward and do not hide in the early stages.
1
19:05
The guests come early for their first goal! After a cross from the right, the ball is cleared with a head, but not far enough. Traoré takes the ball halfway to the right in the penalty area with full risk and carpenters the leather well over the box.

19:02
The ball rolls in the Höhenberg sports park.
19:01
After the 1-1 draw at home against Türkgücü Munich, VfL made a personnel swap: Kleinhansl replaced Haas (bench) in the starting XI.
18:59
Compared to the 1-0 defeat in Zwickau, Viktoria made two changes in the starting XI: Klefisch and Hong started in place of Siebert and Amyn (both on the bench).
18:25
On the last day of the game, coach Daniel Scherning’s team drew 1-1 at home against Türkgücü Munich, third in the table. Ba-Muaka Simakala gave VfL the lead late in the 86th minute, but Bayern managed to equalize 1-1 with Albion Vrenezi’s goal in added time. Nevertheless, the Osnabrück team has a strong record in 2022 with twelve points collected from six league games.
18:20
VfL Osnabrück ranks eight places higher. In the event of today’s victory, the Lower Saxony would jump to the promotion relegation place after the competition for the top ranks left plenty of points yesterday and the day before.
18:11
In the home game against 1860 Munich, Cologne lost 1-0 at the end of January. This was followed by a 1-1 draw at SC Freiburg’s second team. In the subsequent catch-up game at FSV Zwickau last Tuesday, coach Olaf Janßen’s team suffered a 0-1 away defeat after conceding a goal in injury time. According to the results of the day so far, the Rhinelanders are 14th in the table.
18:08
After ending the old year with three defeats in a row, Viktoria came out of the winter break very successfully with two wins in a row (5-2 at home against Verl and 1-0 at Waldhof Mannheim). The recent points haul of the right bank, on the other hand, is meager with one point taken from three games.
18:06
Hello and welcome to the 26th round of the third division. At the end of the day, Viktoria Köln and VfL Osnabrück meet in the Höhenberg sports park. Kick-off is at 7 p.m.
