Second division relegated FC Erzgebirge Aue is currently 14th in the third division with 24 points and is in the middle of a relegation battle. Head coach Dotchev’s team is currently only four points from a direct relegation zone. The somewhat surprising 2-1 win against promotion aspirant Waldhof Mannheim came at just the right time. From the last five games, the violets got three wins, one draw and only had to admit defeat to VfL Osnabrück. Can the FCE still manage a surprise win today?

However, the Hessians are already nine points behind leaders Elversberg, but they are also two points ahead of SC Freiburg II, who are third.
