Football | 3rd League: Dynamo Dresden dominates Viktoria Cologne

As of: November 10, 2023 9:17 p.m

A strong performance from the start gave Dynamo Dresden their next victory. Thanks to a hat-trick from Stefan Kutschke and a unified team performance, the SGD fans were able to celebrate at Viktoria Köln. In addition to Kutschke, the focus was on a former Viktoria player.

The SGD won 5:1 (3:0) in the Höhenberg sports park and extended their lead in the table in the 3rd league. Dynamo took merciless advantage of a half-time advantage. Due to the large number of spectators and the traffic in the Rhine metropolis, the game started ten minutes late.

Kutschke’s penalties bring them Preliminary decision

Dynamo played dominantly from the start. Viktoria basically didn’t take place and barely got over the halfway line. Dresden combined with calm and had their first chances through Jakob Lemmer and Stefan Kutschke (11th/12th). Five minutes later, referee Florian Exner pointed to the spot: Paul Will took a shot after a cross, Christoph Greger touched the ball with his arm and a penalty was awarded. Kutschke didn’t miss it and put Dynamo in the lead (17th). Things continued towards Cologne’s goal: In the 29th minute, Viktoria made a mistake in building up the game, Lemmer played a one-two with Kutschke, went through to the baseline and passed to Niklas Hauptmann in the back area, who scored with a direct pass.

Dynamo cheered at halftime.

Shortly before the half-time whistle, the third goal: Lemmer moved into the penalty area, unlucky Greger put the Dresden player and saw yellow-red. Kutschke stepped up again, this time aiming into the other corner and scoring again (45th+4).

Meissner, of all people

The fair seemed to have been read. Especially because Dynamo didn’t let up and Viktoria continued to dominate. Until the 56th minute, when Donny Bogicevic took courage and shot low from 25 meters. Stefan Drljaca stretched in vain, the ball went to the inside post and from there into the goal (56th). Viktoria was better in the game and got a second breath. But there were hardly any chances.

After the goal, the game between Dynamo and Viktoria became more open.

In the 82nd minute, the beginning brought on ex-Viktoria player Robin Meißner. It took 45 seconds for him to get to the ball for the first time, move slightly into the middle and make it 4-1 (83′). In the 86th, Kevin Ehlers, who was also a substitute, sent Meißner down the left side. Kutschke converted the cross into his third goal. Dynamo extends their lead in the table and still has one less game in hand. That will take place next week in Saarbrücken.
