Now the Dortmunders are breaking in! Immediately after the restart, the Schanzer conquer the leather and Moussa Doumbouya wobbles his opponent in the penalty area and finishes from 15 meters half-left position. Luca Unbehaun scratches the ball brilliantly from the upper right corner.

1:45 p.m

Pascal Testroet

Tooor for FC Ingolstadt 04, 0:2 by Pascal Testroet

Experienced Pascal Testroet takes the penalty. The striker lays the ball flat in the right corner while the Dortmund keeper dives into the other corner.

43

1:45 p.m

Penalty in Dortmund! Moussa Doumbouya sends his teammate Patrick Schmidt behind the chain. He wins the running duel against Soumaïla Coulibaly on the left and puts the ball past keeper Luca Unbehaun, who takes the striker off his legs with his hands. Both players involved must be treated briefly.

41

13:42

Eberwein is worked on in midfield by Röhl until he falls to the ground. Dortmund are awarded a free kick, which Ole Pohlmann kicks and which is immediately cleared by the Schanzer defence.

38

13:39

Another good cross comes from the right side of the Schanzer. This time Testroet is not the crosser, but the target player in the center. Luca Unbehaun skillfully fishes his header out of the left corner. The cross came earlier from right-back Marcel Costly.

35

1:35 p.m

Antonios Papadopoulos

Yellow card for Antonios Papadopoulos (Borussia Dortmund II)

The Borussia defender wants to send a signal in the left half-field and picks up the yellow card from the referee. Previously, he brought down Moussa Doumbouya too hard.

32

13:33

Patrick Smith

Tooor for FC Ingolstadt 04, 0:1 by Patrick Schmidt

The Schanzer are freezing. Dortmund lose the ball again in the build-up game and the ball reaches Testroet on the right via Brackelmann and Schmidt. He crosses from the half field and finds Schmidt, who nods from seven meters into the right corner.

31

13:32

After more than half an hour, the first goal chance of the game! Patrick Schmidt crosses from the left wing into the center, where Dortmund’s assignment is wrong, allowing Tobias Schröck to head the ball. The captain of the Schanzer put the ball well over the bar.

30

13:31

Every now and then the Schanzer manage to put the Dortmunders under pressure when building up the game. This time Abdoulaye Kamara loses the ball just before his own goal. However, the Ingolstadt team cannot yet make a profit from these ball conquests.

29

13:29

Prince Aning is hit from behind by Moussa Doumbouya long before the ball is gone. The winger goes down and needs treatment. After a short break, however, there is a thumbs up from the responsible supervisors and the young Dutchman can continue.

26

13:26

After a good 25 minutes, the referee asks for a drink break. The game is and remains action-poor and so the result is absolutely no surprise up to this point.

24

13:25

On the right side, Ole Pohlmann tries to assert himself against two Schanzer. However, the two defenders have no difficulty in keeping the black and yellow offensive man in check.

22

13:23

Lion Semić sends Bradley Fink very optimistic on the right. Calvin Brackelmann in the Schanzer jersey has no problems with that, shoots the Dortmund striker and gets a goal kick.

19

13:20

After Patrick Schmidt fouled Prince Aning, Dortmund were awarded a free kick in the left half-field. But the Ingolstadt team can also get him out of the penalty area without any problems.

18

13:19

After almost 20 minutes of play, dangerous offensive actions are still a long way off. Both teams lack consistency in the last third.

15

13:17

Dortmund fritters away the ball as it moves forward and invites Ingolstadt to counterattack. But Soumaïla Coulibaly ends this with a hard duel in front of the sixteen. The referee immediately indicated that the game should continue and thus denied the Schanzer a free kick from a dangerous position.

12.

13:13

Now it’s quick. Lion Semić is up and away on the right and has plenty of space. With his low cross, however, he does not find a teammate, only the arms of Marius Funk.

10

13:10

Dortmund build up the game calmly and let the ball run nicely. Neither team has had any chances to score.

7.

13:08

Hans Nunoo Sarpei has to put up with a tunnel right at the start of the game. Prince Aning was the name of the culprit who is then held by his victim. There is a free kick for Dortmund.

4.

13:04

So far, Dortmund and Ingolstadt have played defended. The first offensive action of the black and yellow is in vain. After a cross from Bradley Fink from the right, the Schanzer can clear.

1.

13:02

The Schanzer start aggressively. Immediately after kick-off, Moussa Doumbouya brings down Soumaïla Coulibaly. The referee gives the first free kick for Dortmund.

1.

13:00

Let’s go to Signal Iduna Park! Referee Tom Bauer from Mainz whistles to start the game.

12:59 p.m

There have also been three changes on the Dortmund side: Abdoulaye Kamara replaces the injured Can Özkan in the starting XI. Soumaïla Coulibaly and Prince Aning will also start for Kolbeinn Finnsson and Guille Bueno.

12:58 p.m

A look at the line-up of the Schanzer shows three changes to the cup defeat against Darmstadt. Regular keeper Marius Funk is back between the posts after knee problems and pushed substitute Markus Ponath onto the bench. In defence, Visar Musliu replaces central defender Nico Antonitsch and in attack, experienced Pascal Testroet replaces young American Jalen Hawkins.

12:44

While Dortmund coach Christian Preusser has to do without his newcomer Can Özkan (hit on the hip), his colleague Rüdiger Rehm has his usual strength at his disposal again. His number one Marius Funk and central defender Visar Musliu, who recently complained of Achilles tendon problems, got fit for the game in time. However, new signing David Kopacz is not available to the trainer due to a torn syndesmosis ligament and, as already mentioned, midfielder Rico Preißinger is suspended.

12:28

The season started more successfully for the Ingolstadt team: In the Bayern duel against SpVgg Bayreuth, coach Rüdiger Rehm’s team won 1-0 with a goal from Patrick Schmidt. Only the red card from substitute Rico Preißinger in the 90th minute of the game put a damper on the start of the season. While the Schanzer defeated SpVgg Hessdorf 3-0 in the Bavarian Cup, they had to settle for a 3-0 defeat against second division Darmstadt 98 in the DFB Cup on Monday. The next three points should now be against the second team from BVB.

12:15 p.m

The BVB reserve started the new season with a performance-based draw against Wehen Wiesbaden. What was particularly curious was the goal scored by Gustaf Nilsson in the 56th minute. After BVB keeper Luca Unbehaun saw a storm foul, he put the ball too far forward when accepting a free kick. However, referee Stegemann’s whistle was silent, allowing the fast-paced Wiesbaden striker Nilsson to shove the ball into the net, confusing the Dortmund defense. Substitute Rodney Elongo-Yombo equalized and scored in the 77th minute.

12:00 p.m
